As I look at theses photos all I can think is…talent was tough this year 🖤❤️
First, being away at college without a studio to practice in 🩰
Second, my new tutu being stolen while traveling and having to go back to the old one and choreograph something to match. (I really, really loved my new tutu) 💜
Third, I fell on the Miss New Mexico stage and had to re choreograph again for Miss Arizona and didn’t run it full out until rehearsals to give my knee all the time I could to heal ❤️💛💙
To finally taking the stage and my strap unhooking during my first bend and worrying the whole dance I would expose myself on stage. (if you look closely you can see it flying as I dance) 🚫
All this to say, things don’t always go as planned, but you have to keep dancing 💃🏽
A few years ago any one of these would have sent me into a state of panic and depression, thankfully today I have developed some coping skills that all started with my CSI wellness action plan to take control of my health including my mental health 🧠
