It was really fun to pull together all the dresses, shoes and accessories we tried for the movie poster. Aaron and Bethany had some rad visions to try and it was awesome to see them all come to life. But in the end, only one look can make the final content. - but options are what push us all creatively and make the day so exciting. ⚡️

When @mia_kretzer came to California we were so excited and we knew she’d go home to AU with some awesome memories. 🛹

But winning 🥇in Women’s Skateboard Vert Best Trick at the @xgames and becoming the YOUNGEST medalist in #xgames HISTORY is beyond 🙌

Mia landed a 720 and took home the gold at just 9 years and 8 months old ⚡️

When I think of Ride or Die- I think of my Rad friend Cindy. She is The Sports Stylist, who I’ve had the pleasure of working with side by side for many years… As she was Fashion Editor & I was the Beauty Editor at Hers Magazine. We’ve been to more beaches, gyms and ski slopes than I can count. From Aspen to Palm Springs- this girl has brought me along on the most Epic shoots. Her own back story is Incredible. As a female pioneer of vertical skateboarding, we were there when she was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2016. And, this woman, representing for Skateboard history, has a collection of her equipment in The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History’s sports collection!! But most importantly, she is a champion of women. She founded a company @girlisnota4letterword with cool apparel & boards & supports young girl skateboarders. I had the immense pleasure of speaking at the @hermosabeachmuseum today about the unparalleled “Vinny Tattu skateboard collection” that was donated by Vinny’s family to the museum. 🛹

We discussed how board shapes progressed throughout the years and why. How urethane wheels changed the trajectory of skateboarding. How the original art work on these boards takes you through each period of time. And why this particular collection is so rare and special. 🩷
.
Some of the boards in this collection, like the original hand done drawings by legendary skater and artist @weshumpston are one of a kind and are some of the most important pieces of skateboard history in existence. 🙌
.
They also have skate DVD’s from the contests in the 80s/90s that @gerard_ravel filmed - which is the only complete skate video documentation of that time period. You can also buy copies to take home. 🎥
.
The @itsnotaboutpretty book is the first hardback book ever published to feature all female skateboarders (2016) and the museum is one of the last places you can purchase this out of print book. 📚
