It’s #worldchampwednesday and I am finally able to slow down enough to dump some flics from this past years ICU World Championship.
This year marked my 8th Championship and it just keeps getting better and better. This part of life brings me a lot of joy and it’s never lost on me how incredibly lucky I am to be a small part in these team’s journey. Representing your country will never get old.
To my 2024 Eagles- thank you! Thank you for pushing, listening, understanding what it takes, extending your season, and putting additional strenuous exertion on your bodies. You are all true athletes in what you do. Every year brings new memories, faces, routines, and friendships…And that is what I will cherish the most. 5 Gold, 2 Silver, memories to last a lifetime and everything to be proud of. Lizzy- there aren’t words except for I simply wouldn’t be able to make it without you. Thank you for being there for me and our athletes, always knowing what to say, getting our lineup times right, and making sure we eat. I’m so lucky to have you in my life and have our friendship blossom through this.
Chris- I’m so happy you got to finally be there and see what this is all about. God works in mysterious ways and when I needed it the most, schedules aligned, and you were able to be there. Thank you for allowing me to be gone so much during our busy season and do what I love. Your sacrifice at home while I’m away is seriously appreciated.

Yesterday we celebrated the twins turning three. 👌 Its one of those moments that seem to stop in time, even though there is a lot of chaos, to see what a blessing life is. Every day we thank God for these two miracles. It’s an honor to be their parents and watch them grow.

If you would have told me taking 18 teenagers and 5 kids that were all 2 and under to the beach in one house would be a good time… I would have hesitated. But boy was it fun and one to remember.

Tonight…. I was reminded of how blessed we are. Tonight… made my heart smile. Seeing our sweet kiddos have so much fun trick or treating, smiling, laughing, running, playing with friends and in awe of all the candy. 🫶🏼

3 years. Some days it feels like a lifetime and others feel like it was yesterday. I read this recently and it hit me like a ton of bricks. No words have ever been more true in a time of loss.
No one can prepare you for the first time you come home after your world fell apart and although everything is untouched… nothing is the same.
I remember taking mom home that day and that feeling is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. Our life has never been the same and it will never be again. We miss our BIG piece to our puzzle daily but take heart in being able to see him again one day. Thank you Jesus for that promise.
