rest in peace to a legend, a myth maker, the man who taught me how to build fires and take fish off of the hook. my grandpa instilled a lifelong love of nature in me. he showed me the importance of generosity and the value of hard work. in recent years, he’d call me “rockstar”, and we’d discuss our shared love of France. i am kinder, braver, and stronger because of him. i will miss his stern but gentle kindness, his fearlessness, and his quick witted, unforgettable one liners. love you, grandpa. always.
