The in-between there will be days that are filled with so many miracles, and days where you question why it all is happening. There is nothing wrong with the in-between, when life is just moment by moment... and where you just hope to make sense of it all. The in-between is a reminder that life continues, that love endures, and our world keeps spinning. Without dark, there is no light. Dance has always been my therapy, my soft place to land, and my safe space. Today wasn’t an easy one, and I want to thank @studio7talentcenter for opening their doors to me for this release and exploration of movement that was desperately needed. To my family and friends, because of a very special boy we will forever be reminded that we can do tough things. My heart is broken… but our clan is strong. For me, pride month is my everyday life. I am proud of my love, and my life with this human. I am proud of the growth we achieve daily as a couple, and as individuals. I am proud because it is a love I have never known, and that I will continue fight for until my last breath. Our RECONSTRUCT EXHIBITION ATLANTA was a remarkable success. Taking this event on the road for the first time proved to be an extraordinary experience. I get to do what I love every single day of my life. Is there really anything sweeter? My love goes out to all of the dancers from our LA Reconstruct Initiative 2024! These four beauties took the choreo I gave them and truly made it their own. That’s all I really can ever want or ask of a student. I feel that in the small amount of time I spend in a classroom, each dancer should have the freedom to make choices and interpretations of the choreo I have given. Then the movement really becomes theirs, and less mine, which then begins to speak its own story. I love seeing that confidence and creativity. To all of the talented dancers that were a part of Reconstruct - Initiative this year, I am thankful for your energy you brought to all of the classes.
