You know what? I cannot remember a time in my life that I have been filled with disbelief, joy, confusion, validation, anxiety, love & pride all at once. ALL TOGETHER.
My story (very sadly) is a common one. I grew up as a queer child in a small town. Attending Catholic School my entire life. Georgetown was and still is, not a safe place to be queer. Growing up I was relentlessly harassed, bullied, beaten down & told I was less than human & would never be anything.
I don’t usually address my haters directly because I don’t want to provide them with the attention they so desperately crave however, this is a direct shoutout to all my haters. All my bullies. All those who said I’d be nothing. All those aIMees (iykyk). And I’ve had a lot of them. This one’s for you. I wish you joy & happiness but above all this, I wish you love ❤️
