What a week !!!, I had the pleasure and honor of styling @michaelraineyjr for the power premiere 🙏🏾 custom set by @chrisportnewyork , watch @jacobandco and shoes @givenchy Thank you @demeir.wav for all of your hard work , support and of course your energy 🔋
One year from 40 and I have gained so much clarity as far as the woman I am today the important of purpose… working in an industry that prides itself about being real and authenticity but sad to say a lot of the times that’s not the case… I am so grateful to my amazing clients & friends that have had continual support and patience with my evolution… I’ve been asked a lot what words of wisdom do I have for someone who wants to become a stylist. I would say “ be a problem solver, be inspired by, but don’t follow another Stylist playbook... learn every position, learn to be OK with saying you don’t know, but you will find someone who does, do not fake it till you make it... above all else have a code of honor and integrity!!! when you walk on purpose and put God first anything is possible 🙏🏾

Meet issue 16 cover star Dylen Avianne. Two years ago Dylen stepped into the family business and with consistency, hard work and motivation, he became one of the top jewelers for some of your favorite celebrities. We learned that jewelry making is not as easy as it looks and you can’t trust every jeweler. He also gives us an insight on the jewelry making process and how important having a team to help you is.

DSRPT.: How did you get into the jewelry industry?
Dylen: “Well my family’s been in this industry for over 20 years so I just thought why not come into the business and show what I could do but I didn’t really want to come and do jewelry, I came to really accessorize the brand.”

The biggest lesson I have learned is to be organically myself, if I was to talk to the younger me, I would say you are created exactly to be the person that God ordained you to be! Just be you!!!!! ( Thank you @kittiejrose for your words of wisdom )
