The first few days of vacation have been wild to say the least…had a beautiful drive from Seattle over to the east side to Yakima yesterday…stopped in E-burg to visit Mike’s old stopping grounds at Central Washington! The kids loved touring a college campus and getting to see where Mike played football and ran track! Woke up today and the boys headed out to watch the @earlbardenclassic practices…Alexa and I walked downtown and enjoyed a cooler morning…a wildfire broke out down the road and we spent the afternoon driving around town as the entire power grid was shutdown due to an emergency de-energization from the rapidly spreading wildfire … we are safe and the evacuation order in the area has been lowered from a level 3 to a level 2…power was restored and we headed to the trampoline park to move around a bit. Alexa busted out some news skills and Paxton loosened his muscles from his Wednesday workout 🤣…we had an amazing steak dinner and got in our birthday/mothers day/Father’s Day celebrations in at a local spot! Emotional Day today as these kids step into their next journeys! Change is hard but should not be feared as it’s the mechanism towards bigger, better, faster, stronger! We’ve had some incredible years as these kids both attended this elementary school since Kinder and we will forever be grateful!!! This kid is all smiles this week and he definitely should be! Final quarter of his junior high journey and was able to compete in the Track & Field Field events. He more than doubled his discus distance from last season … and his shot put grew, grew, and grew…watching @tales_of_pax_man set and hit and even exceed his goals has made my heart so happy! These goals led him straight to the East Valley Conferences Championship!! In not only one, but two events!!! The end of this middle school journey is proving to be a huge success!!
