Summertime means cherry time! ☀️🍒 Our producers wait all year long for the perfect moment to pick these sweet, juicy fruits that no one can resist. They do it with love, care, and dedication, in a delicate balance determined by years of experience. But did you know that cherries in South Tyrol are grown at high altitudes? The fresh mountain air and Alpine sunshine play a crucial role in the ripening process. These conditions allow the fruits to ripen slowly, giving them plenty of time to develop their full aroma and sweetness, while also becoming rich in nutrients. The result? Cherries that are bursting with flavor, making every bite delightful. Each cherry is carefully handpicked, ensuring only the finest fruits make their way to your table. This meticulous process reflects the commitment of our farmers to quality, preserving the delicate structure of the cherries and maintaining their exceptional taste. 😍 So, the next time you enjoy our cherries, remember the care and dedication that went into bringing this delicious summer treat to your table. 😉 Enjoy the taste of summer! ____ #Suedtirol #SouthTyrol #AltoAdige #Südtirol ………. #QualitätSüdtirol #QualitàAltoAdige #QualitàSüdtirol #Kirschen #CIliegie #Cherries #SouthTyrolMoment #VisitSouthTyrol #LifeInSouthTyrol #SupportLocalBusinesses #LocalProduct #FoodProduction #SouthTyrolMoment 📸 Armin Huber

In early summer, while hiking in the mountains, it is common to encounter farmers busy with the first hay harvest in the pastures. Even today, some of them still practice mowing by hand. The long days spent in the fields during June allow farmers to stock up for the winter and ensure their cows have a balanced diet. In fact, hay retains many of the nutrients of fresh grass, which the cows enjoy during the summer when they are in the alpine pastures. The resulting milk has a special fragrance, and the hay milk products made from it, such as yogurt, milk, and cheese, are rich in taste. But the production of hay milk does more than delight our palates: it has additional benefits. Through this system, farmers help protect the biodiversity of the land and maintain the alpine landscape. 💙 Enjoy the authentic goodness of South Tyrolean hay milk and discover our quality products! 😉 __________ #Suedtirol #SouthTyrol #AltoAdige #Südtirol ………. #TasteSouthTyrol #QualitätSüdtirol #QualitàAltoAdige #QualitàSüdtirol #LatteFieno #HeuMilch #HayMilk #Foodigram #SoulFood #SouthTyrolLover #SouthTyrolFoodGuide #SouthTyrolMoment 📸 Marco Parisi (1); Frieder Blickle

How can you recognise the real “Speck Alto Adige PGI”? Watch out for the hallmark😉 Only when the South Tyrol hallmark is heat-stamped onto the rind, everything is truly made according to the tradition. The PGI acronym stands for “protected geographical indication”. This way the European Union acknowledges all food products that are processed according to the traditional methods in a specific geographical area. Only when all quality criteria are met and all controls are passed, can our speck use its “South Tyrol” protected geographical indication. #OriginalfromEurope #EnjoyItsFromEurope #SpeckAltoAdigeIGP #FormaggioStelvioDOP #IGP #DOP #EuropaQualita #SpeckAltoAdige 📸 Manuel Ferrigato
