There was no reason to meet this man,
High in the mountains, where few have ran
For decades past, an hour and more from Bir,
From where the world hums its familiar lore.
He has not crossed the nearby bridge
For forty, fifty years, a ridge
Of time untouched by feet or gaze,
A recluse in his silent ways.
No reason to meet him, until one day,
@yaaneeabharadwaj invite led my way.
Lunch was her offer, simple and kind,
“Let’s climb the mountain, clear your mind.”
No reason to meet him, yet we did,
He spoke little, his eyes half-hid.
Once they met mine, words so profound,
They echo still, questions unbound.
No reason to meet him, but hope I do..
