Although the @arnoldsportsau expo and Pro Show was cancelled this year due to Coronavirus and I didn’t make it, my 2 clients did me proud in more ways than one. I wasn’t just proud of the package they bought to stage, but their perseverance in a time of massive uncertainty and also the bound that they developed through prep. Gym selfies haven’t really been my thing since having two kids, but I just needed to capture this moment. Last session, but hopefully not the last gym session for 2020. Thank you to my incredible clients that have risen to the challenge and remained positive with their new home workouts. It’s good to see you still just as motivated. Training in Pregnancy🤰🏻 I was extremely lucky to be able to train throughout both my pregnancies with little difficulty. It certainly became a challenge by the time my bump was this big but I made adjustments and could still perform most lifts, even BB Hip Trusts. Majority of the time, women can train as they did prior to pregnancy when they are pregnant. Just not aiming to hit any PB’s 😂 I always focused on “moving my body” because I would feel better for it. Posing Transformation 💫 Swipe >> Season B 2019 I had the pleasure to work with @icn_wa competitor @lmc_dbdc In the first video Lisa is a natural, her posing is effortless and she exudes confidence. We worked damn hard for that and she had an extremely successful show as a first time competitor. In our first session we focused on the basic quarter turns and saw improvements every week because I didn’t overwhelm her from the beginning. Adjustments were made to make it more “ICN” and a front pose that was perfect for her physique. Although we worked together every Saturday Lisa didn’t rely on that session and practiced daily in between. On show day you were drawn by her confidence and of course her hard work (physique coach @grace_powerfit 😘) Really proud to be apart of this mother of 2’s journey. It is essential that competitors invest their time in posing. As a judge majority of the time my feedback is - FIX POSING. If you don’t want to feel overwhelmed on show day, do simple and do it well. No extra points for who does the most fluff 😉 I often get asked about posing sessions and can unfortunately only take a limited amount of face to face posing clients which need to be booked at least 12 weeks in advance from your show dates. Results to truly be inspired by >> swipe A 15 month journey for my client Andrea with her goal to return to stage. The biggest key was recreating better eating habits and rebuilding her relationship with food, shifting her mindset to no longer self sabotage. Before beginning prep we reverse dieted getting her up to 2460 calories. In this time she lost 7kgs. Competition prep for @ifbbproleagueoz was for a total of 24 weeks and in this time she lost another 10kgs. She was binge free through the entire process. Damn proud of this girl for not just returning to stage but her personal growth and strength to get there. Now taking new online clients, both lifestyle and competition prep. So if you don’t follow my personal page @summerbernard you might not know that at the end of last year (and 4 weeks early) I had this little lady. Since then I’ve still been working with my current online clients whom are competitors, ladies wanting to be fitter, stronger and healthier, mothers, mothers to be and ladies wanting to be mothers. There has been a bit of a transition period but Azra has slotted into mine and Tariks (my first child’s) routine nicely. I’m thankful to have a life of balance again and being able to still follow my passion. So in saying that, I have now opened up more coaching spots for both lifestyle and contest prep clients. My coaching is very personalised so I do only take a small amount of clients. However, by mid year I plan to launch a new coaching program to take on more clients.
