𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁: Many people don't understand the importance of maintaining muscle as we age. It is critical for maintaining a high quality of life. Why? Muscle 1. Preserves mobility and independence. 2. Regulates blood sugar and insulin sensitivity. 3. Supports and protects bones, reducing osteoporosis risk. 4. Increases calorie burn and helps maintain a healthy weight. 5. Provides joint support and reduces fall risk. 6. Helps manage conditions like cardiovascular disease and arthritis. 7. Improves mood and reduces depression and anxiety. 8. Linked to increased lifespan and reduced mortality. Regular strength training, a balanced diet with adequate protein, and staying active are key to maintaining muscle mass and leading a healthier, more active life as we age. So why would we opt to use a medication that results in muscle loss in order to lose weight. Plus, there are great natural healthy alternatives if you do need a little support when it comes to eating right. On top of losing muscle, there are other risks with using Ozempic for weight loss... 1. Gastrointestinal Issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain. 2. Hypoglycemia: Low blood sugar levels. 3. Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas. 4. Kidney Issues: Worsening kidney function. 5. Thyroid Tumors: Risk of thyroid C-cell tumors (observed in animal studies). 6. Gallbladder Disease: Gallstones and inflammation. 7. Increased Heart Rate: Elevated heart rate. 8. Fatigue: Tiredness and lethargy. 9. Injection Site Reactions: Redness, swelling, itching. Plus, this wasn't even what this medication was originally designed for 🤦‍♀️ If you are looking for a safe alternative to help you reach your weight goals and get your nutrition under control, comment below. I'm here to help 💪🙌 #Ozempic #hormonehealth #weightloss #WeightLiftingWisdom

I was scrolling my feed and saw someone posted these stats This is why 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀! Years ago I realized that there isn't much security in life if our income is strictly derived by trading time for money. You can get hurt and not be able to work. You may be forced to step away to care for a loved one. You may not make enough to keep up with inflation You may lose your job because of company cut backs The reasons are endless. Since I had this epiphany I have spent time learning and building multiple residual leveraged passive income streams because to me time flexibility and financially security drastically lower stress levels in my life and personally I prefer to have as little stress in my life as possible If you are building a passive income stream keep it up 🙌 If you haven't started what's stopping you? I'm here to answer any questions or concerns you have. Personally, it was one of the best moves I've ever made in life. #passiveincome #residualleverageincome #getahead #inflationisreal #timeflexibility #financialsecurity

𝙸𝚜 𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚘𝚖𝚒𝚌 𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚢 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚚𝚞𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎? 📉💔 Feeling the pinch? You're not alone. The economy's ups and downs have a direct impact on our quality of life, influencing everything from our daily expenses to our long-term goals. 💼💰 As prices rise and wages struggle to keep pace, many find themselves juggling bills, cutting back on essentials, or putting off big life milestones. The cost of living squeezes tighter, affecting our ability to save, invest in our future, or simply enjoy the little luxuries that make life sweet. 🛒💸 But it's not just about the numbers. Economic stress takes a toll on our mental and emotional well-being, too. Stress, anxiety, and uncertainty become unwelcome companions in our daily lives, affecting our relationships, sleep, and overall happiness. 😔💭 Yet amidst the challenges, there's resilience. Communities come together, sharing resources, support, and a sense of solidarity. We adapt, finding creative solutions and redefining what truly matters. 💪❤️This why I surround myself with like-minded people all involved in the common goal of helping others have more time and financial flexibility while improving their overall quality of life Let's keep the conversation going. What has helped you through hard financial times? Are you looking for solutions? Let's support each other through these uncertain times. #EconomicImpact #QualityOfLife #CommunityResilience "

"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄' 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 '𝙬𝙚,' 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨." Currently 12 weeks out from my first show of 2024 and I can't help but think about what shifted my wellness failures into wellness success... It all comes down to 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, & 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙚 When I tried to lose my first 15lbs and get my chronic pain under control I failed time and time again... I failed so many times that I actually gave up 🤷‍♀️ Then one day I got connected to an incredible group of people focused on working together to achieve their health goals. In the beginning my goal was just to feel good... to feel good in my clothes and to live in less daily pain. For the first time ever I succeeded!!! And although that was the catalyst into my body building career it never would have happened if I hadn't surrounded myself with 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮: A community of like minded people with a common goal of improving their quality of life 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠: People who strategically worked together to help us all succeed vs only focusing on on my personal goals 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙚: Involving people with more experience than me I am forever grateful I made the decision to 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 '𝙄' 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 '𝙬𝙚' So now my question becomes... 𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙚𝙙? Comment below if so. If not comment what worked for you as it may help others too 🙌 #summerbody #fitnessgoals #togetherwesucceed #weightloss #hormonehealth

𝙰𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚔 𝚝𝚘𝚙 𝚜𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗? I mean I'm sure we are all of us who live in seasonal climates are excited to enjoy some warm weather... but do you feel ready to show off your guns? Truthfully I have always been happy with my arms. I mean I have worked hard for better shoulder caps for the past 8 years but in general I have always been happy with my arms overall. My legs 🦵... that's another story. I am not a fan of my quads until I am stage ready but I also fully know being stage lean year round isn't healthy. I have definitely learned to be more comfortable with my thick thighs but prefer to be a smidge leaner when rocking shorts. It's time to shed some winter weight (and for me prep for stage this fall) Who else is ready to work for their summer bodies? Are you on track? Do you need help? Comment below 👇Lets do this together because alone we go far but together we go further 🙌

ᴡʜᴏ ᴇʟꜱᴇ ꜰᴇᴇʟꜱ 2024 ʜᴀꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀɴ ᴇxʜᴀᴜꜱᴛɪɴɢ ʏᴇᴀʀ? Bodybuilding season is among us. I have a few friends who have already stepped on stage and I just started cutting for my fall show season. One of the things competing has helped me understand tremendously is the connection between how we fuel our body and how we feel. As a result I wanted to share some tips and tricks to naturally boost your energy by fueling your body properly: ☆ Add protein to your breakfast. Protein takes longer to break down than carbs resulting in more stable blood glucose levels for a longer period of time ☆ Increase your consumption of healthy whole grains which help maintain healthy blood pressure and blood sugar levels ☆ Increase your fruits and veggies to lower your inflammation levels ☆ Eat your greens first so that you not only are sure you get them in but to improve digestion and lower your blood sugar response after meals ☆ Buy products that are 100% whole grains, not multigrain or made with whole grains ☆ Snack on nuts. They are healthy fats, high in fiber, vitamins and minerals ☆ When you need a treat enjoy it with some healthy additions to stave off blood sugar spikes and energy crashes. This could mean having a small amount of ice cream topped with fresh fruit and nuts. Although my lifestyle is extreme, remember yours does not have to be. Just remember small changes can go a long way. This morning I was craving pancakes. So happy I have protein pancakes in the house to help me start my day off right! What’s your favorite unhealthy go to food? Maybe I can help you find a healthier alternative #fuelyourbody #summerbody #energyboost

DAILY VOTING REMINDER 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙀𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩: 𝙈𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 After earning my pro card I sat down with my posing instructor and discussed what I needed to focus on in order be competitive ad a professional figure competitor. If you were unaware, there is often a big difference between amateur and professional competitors. I wasn't going to get on stage unless I felt I could be competitive. When she analyzed my workout programming she said I needed more rest days. I won't lie... this gave me anxiety 😬 If you remember, originally I failed at succeeding at losing 15lbs time and time again. I didn't succeed until I committed to working out for 90 days straight (which became a full year). So of course I was afraid if I fell off my normal schedule and took too much rest I would fail and never do my pro debut. I also was teaching fitness classes at the time so had to pivot again. I always worked out with my clients, and now I was going to have to just guide them 🙃 But I was determined. I had formed my habits. I trusted myself to continue to follow though. Plus I had formed great friendships and knew they would hold me accountable. As a result, I went all in. Followed through on the new sacrifices I had to make and when I stepped on stage the following October I took 5th my first time competing as a Pro! Thanks for your free daily votes. Link in my bio

ᴡʜᴏ ꜰᴇᴇʟꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇʏ ɢᴇᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴀʀᴅᴇʀ ɪᴛ ɪꜱ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴛᴏ ꜰᴏᴄᴜꜱ? Me 🙋‍♀️ I remember when I could fixate on a topic or task for hours without having a moment when my mind strayed away. Nowadays, I have to set myself up for success by ☆ Being in a dedicated workspace ☆ Minimizing distractions ☆ Utilizing routines ☆ Breakdowning tasks ☆ Using time management techniques ☆ Being organized ☆ Being properly fueled ☆ Being properly rested Now I have been doing these things for the past decade, but I have noticed the older I get, the more important they have become. Recently, I have been having an easier time following through. When I started to question why? I couldn’t figure out what changed. Then, ironically, an article came up in my news feed about the connection between hormone health and ADHD. Did you know that hormonal fluctuations can impact ADHD symptoms? Some studies show ☆ Low levels of estrogen and/or testosterone may be associated with increased ADHD symptoms ☆ Stress increases cortisol levels, which can exacerbate ADHD symptoms ☆ Thyroid imbalances impact cognitive function, attention, and mood potential, contributing to ADHD symptoms Now that I am 40, I have been focusing more on my hormonal health as I realize how much it impacts quality of life. As a result, I have been doing all sorts of things to naturally balance my hormones. I have a feeling this could be a huge part of why I am gradually becoming more focused and feeling like my old self. Who can relate? What are you doing to stay on top of your ADHD symptoms? #HormonalBalance #hormonehealth #adultadhd #adultadhdawareness

ʜᴀᴠᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀʟʟᴇʀɢɪᴇꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴡᴏʀꜱᴇ ᴛʜᴀɴ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ʙᴇꜰᴏʀᴇ? Not So Fun Fact: As we age our hormones become out of whack, and as a result, many of us experience worsening allergies. Cortisol, estrogen, thyroid hormones, and insulin levels all influence the development, severity, and management of allergic reactions. Cortisol, our stress hormone, has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. Chronic stress results in dysregulation of cortisol and can exacerbate allergic conditions High levels of estrogen have been associated with increased risk of allergic diseases such as asthma and allergic rhinitis due to it’s ability to modulate immune response Thyroid dysfunctions influence the immune system. This is why there is a connection between dysfunctioning thyroid hormones and allergic conditions Insulin resistance is associated with chronic inflammation, which can exacerbate allergies This is one of many reasons why it is important to do your best to balance your hormones naturally. This can be done through ☆ Stress management ☆ Healthy diet ☆ Regular exercise ☆ Appropriate supplementation Who needs help in any of those areas? Comment below #HormonalBalance #allergyhacks #WeightLiftingWisdom #hormonehealth #compoundeffect  #allergiessuck #allergysolutions

VOTING REMINDER 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧: 𝐌𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 After stepping on stage for the first time I realized I was hooked! I was excited to continually level up my health and my life. When I commit to something, I become slightly obsessed. I want to learn all I can about it. So I did just that! I became obsessed with learning how food, different workouts, and hydration all changed my body. I got certified in a few group fitness classes as well as in sports nutrition. I realized I had made some rookie mistakes prepping for stage the first time. I under ate, over cardioed, and messed with my electrolytes... all of which made me look tiny and depleted on stage. Four months later, I stepped on stage for my first real competition. That wasn't enough time to make significant change, but it was noticeable how much healthier I looked. 7 months later, I earned my first pro card. I was now officially a #WNBF Pro Figure Competitor. But that was really just the beginning. I was fully committed to building the best version of me inside and out. Please cast your Free daily vote.
