On the last day of our trip in Vietnam we were able to visit the orphanage where I was adopted from. I had no clue what to expect and honestly didn’t even think we’d find the same orphanage. As soon as they pulled out my adoption records I knew I was in the right place and all the emotions hit 🥹.

It was a pretty emotional experience to be able to come back to the same place I was adopted from 25 years later. It’s because of my adoption story that I truly believe everything in life, good or bad, happens for a reason. How I was adopted is a pretty crazy story and there were so many reasons I shouldn’t have been adopted, but I was. And I’m so incredibly grateful and blessed for the life I have today ❤️

I felt like I was able to close a chapter of my life. It was the perfect way to end a once in a lifetime trip. Just wanted to share a little part of my story and experience 🫶🏻

Traveling for work is a blessing, but sometimes it can be mentally and physically tiring. After trial and error, I think I’ve finally dialed in my at-home reset routine 👇🏻⬇️

1. Pilates… love trying different classes!
2. Running & joining @chicagoruncollective has been a great way to mentally reset and meet new friends! 🏃🏻♀️
3. Coffee ☕️ (a little sweet treat goes a long way)
4. Self-care… me time is so important (@susie.yellow always slays) 💆🏻♀️
5. Eating in as much as I can & trying new recipes 👩🏽🍳
6. Always making time to hang out with friends 👯♀️

I remember when I graduated college I thought I would love any video job because I love video. I quickly realized I was very wrong. For about a year I shot every video imaginable from weddings to cybersecurity webinars.. I shot it all. One night I was up until 2am editing a gymnastics video (for free). It was then when I realized that if I got the opportunity to combine gymnastics & video for the rest of my life I would be fully happy. And @beamqueenbootcamp gave me that and more

Grateful for the job that brought me some of my closest friends, family dinners, coffee runs, crazy travel stories and lifetime memories. But more grateful for @samanthapeszek who believed in me from the start 🫶🏻✨
