‘One Last Time'

In my ‘low key experimental series’ – old Raw - Backlighting is not the simplest method of lighting in photography. But it produces a dramatic contrast between the subject and the background
Normally dramatic backlight has as goal still provide enough clarity on the face or body of the subject to produce a usable portrait. Here it was not. The intended effect was to become such a big contrast, the model becomes almost whole in black, in contrast with the bright background in my studio. To become almost a black and white drawing. Of course Photoshop helps to enhance this contrast as I did here⬛⬜
But even then, you need strong images to produce such picture. And me, aalways liking dancers and gymnasts visiting me in my studio, they fit so well in my research to the capture the elegancy of movement 🤸
So removing the frontal flashes, only using flashes on my background, I asked Noor to make a dramatic movement and poses. And talented as she is, she just did 🔝
This might not be the picture my fans are used to, it's just an 'in between' i wanted to try out, you all know my goal is to keep experimenting. And I did here. I hope you like it as well. I do love it very much ❣️
