Taking a moment to stop and reflect on the last year and boy has it been one heck of a year!!
For those of you who don’t know me… Hi! I’m Jamea Marlowe (founder & CEO of The Broken Crayon) and I am a licensed elementary art teacher and I had been for a several years. I quit teaching at the end of the 2021- 2022 school year and boy was I heart broken. I absolutely loved teaching children art and I loved my students but as we all know teachers are under paid and not supported…. So I quit and started my own art studio for kids!
In this last year I have started The Broken Crayon, made some amazing new business friendships, been on the news like 4 times, was awarded
@charlottemag B.O.B award, hosted over 15 kid’s birthday parties, hosted over 30 free kids art events in
@campnorthend , made custom coloring books for the
@hornets and
@southparkclt , and so much more!
I am so grateful and so appreciative of everyone who has supported my small business, whether you have liked, shared, or reposted anything. Or if you have ever booked us for a service, left us one of those 5 ⭐️ Google reviews. THANK YOU!!! This small business owner really appreciates it!
