The people I’ve met in this community have always pointed me back to my heart and soul, and that’s what conscious entrepreneurship is all about. He has over three decades of experience delivering purpose-driven engagement programs for corporations globally, leveraging the communal wisdom of rural Africa. Doug is also a filmmaker and humanitarian, focusing on West African culture. His projects include the award nominated stage show “Do You Speak Djembe?” and his documentary “Beats As One.” Doug founded a nonprofit called Lighting Up Lives which builds resilient, thriving, and autonomous communities in West Africa by connecting changemakers with citizens in rural villages, inspiring and supporting local action to solve local problems. Discovering the concept of this tribe felt like a profound opportunity—a chance to surround myself with incredibly inspiring, heart-centered individuals like you.  “I had the incredible opportunity to co-lead international mission trips to some of the world’s most hidden corners such as Nepal, Haiti, various regions in Africa, and Guatemala. The experiences I had living with host families, despite the language barriers, were profoundly moving. We forged unspoken connections through love and shared energy, creating bonds that transcended words.
