Yesterday was a very sad day. We lost my Grandmother, Marjorie Maurer. Even though our relationship was complicated in the end I am still very sad to see her gone. She was around my whole life and one of my biggest supporter for my musical career. She always loved sharing stories of her life, loved her family, her love for Elvis (that her mother disapproved of) and her want for a family band. She was a stern woman, but gentle with a hard work ethic. She never stopped even after my grandfather suffered nine strokes. Seeing her laying in the hospital with an oxygen mask was the hardest thing to witness. But I know she is at peace and pain free. Now she can be with her father, mother and husband again. I know you didn’t approve of who I am but I still love you Grandma. I miss you and will always remember the good memories and the wafers I used to sneak out of the cookie jar. I love you and I know you will always be watching over and reminding me to keep playing music. ❤️
