QUESTION : Which family member has changed the most since the original photo?? 🧐😍😘 It’s fun to see in the first photo we had just moved to Hawaii and bought new boards with the high hopes of learning to surf..they hadn’t even been waxed yet! Flash forward 6 years later, and these same boards are now waxed up, dinged up, and full of endless family surf memories together! 🏄🏽‍♂️💙🏄🏼‍♀️ This week @garrettgee is fulfilling a major Bucket List item and going on his dream surf trip with buddies! ⚠️ SOUND ON! ⚠️ Garrett is one of the bravest people I know… that is until heights OR SPIDERS are involved.. 🕷️then it’s every man (and woman AND child) for himself.😱 We were cruising down the Truckee River when our friend noticed a *small spider on Garrett’s chest. I was about to just calmly swat it away when he lost it. The girliest, manliest scream I’ve ever heard. I died. And I’m still dying. 😂💀😂 sorry to laugh at your expense babe… but come on… this was one of the funniest moments of my life..😘 @thebucketlistfamily

🥲 Please allow me to share some emotional thoughts for a moment.. I was sitting next to Garrett and looking at the spine of my book. I’ve seen it a thousand times and yet this time it really hit me.. 9 years ago we started a YouTube channel and an Instagram page with ZERO FOLLOWERS. We were okay with zero. It was simply a journal to record and share our family adventures. Can you believe that initial screenshot?? Check out what the bio says..🥹 And now here I was, looking at the spine of a book I wrote, with my name printed in ink next to @natgeo , and now, our once upon a time small zero follower Instagram about to surpass 3 million!!🤯 All it takes is a few seconds of me thinking back to all the hard work that’s gone into this family journey to bring me to tears..🥲 Please accept my gratitude and thanks to YOU for being such an important part this experience. ❤️💙💚 To celebrate this milestone, I have signed a special number of books that will be available at the link in our Instagram stories and bio today. ✨MAGICAL!✨ When we arrive to Tahoe we mostly planned to just play all day everyday on the beautiful blue lake. But on our first day we met a lovely family that suggested we do a short kid friendly hike called Chickadee Ridge and “if you bring bird seeds and hold quite calm and still a chickadee bird might feed right from your hand if you’re lucky”. This sounded like something from a Disney Princess movie! And sure enough, after being calm and waiting patiently, a friendly little chickadee came and ate directly from our hands! We arrived to our house for the week here in @renotahoe knowing it had a pool but we had no idea it had a slide AND a cliff jump rock!!?!! 😍 It took about 7 seconds before our swim suits were on and we were having a canon ball competition. It was a high stakes battle between big brother Manilla VS little brother Calihan. Who won this one?? 🤔 EVERYONE GETS A PARTICIPATION TROPHY!! 🏅 jk that’s not how we do things around here. G😍😍D M🤩RNING FR😳M Lake Tahoe, Nevada! Do you remember the genetic charts you’d learn in school that would teach how eye colors are passed down?? I’m pretty sure our family is breaking those charts. 🤔 Each time I’ve been pregnant, @garrettgee and I joke that we get to guess the gender AND the color of our babies! Fo you think this one will be “vanilla, chocolate, OR swirl!!?” 😉😘😉 It’s all just for fun. All that matters is that we are FAMILY. ❤️💙💚 We’re grateful to be back to one of our favorite places on the planet, T🌎GETHER as a family! There are 3 things I wish to make special note of on this Fathers Day : We just arrived to @renotahoe where Garrett was asked to throw out the first pitch at the special Fathers Day game⚾️. He asked if our full family could do it together, instead. We will see if they let us. Send us a direct message @thebucketlistfamily if you’re in the area and want tickets. We’re doing a meetup in a special area at the game! We arrived to Tahoe last night and went bowling w friends (@bowlincline is niiice🤩) and Manilla bowled his first ever strike!! Father’s Day Note 1) Garrett has many passionate hobbies but above all, he loves spending time with his family and friends. ❤️ Fathers Day Note 2) Garrett has a special way of making our family, and really everyone in his life, feel incredibly special, like the main character of their own movie. I love seeing Manilla celebrate this simple yet epic moment so fully! 💙 Father’s Day Note 3) Garrett hosted what he called a “PRE-FUNERAL” for his own dad. Don’t let the intense title scare you away..it was actually the most special thing ever. I’ll let Garrett share more on that when the time is right..I just wanted to make special note of it because I’m very proud of Garrett for it. HAPPY FATHERS DAY my babe! - Jess 💛
