As the other half of the dream team we have
@fintan_kealy as our amazing Musical Director!
Fintan Kealy is a musical director and composer based in Essex. He is an Associate Artist of
@pinchytheatre , a non-hierarchical artist collective who create live art across the country. In 2021/22 he held the position of Associate Musical Director for the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he was mentored by Wendy Gadian and funded by the Andrew Lloyd-Webber Foundation. His previous work as a musical director includes It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad Madge (Wandsworth Arts Fringe, 53two, Electric Theatre Guildford), FLITCH (Charlie Hartill Award Finalist 2024, Leeds Conservatoire Workshop, BEAM2023), KISS (CSSD), Urinetown (ICtheatre), Godspell (ICtheatre), Pippin (ICtheatre), and Assistant MD for London Road (CSSD).
He is one half of Packham & Kealy, who write genre-flouting new musical theatre. Their work includes It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad Madge, which won the award for “Standout Performer” at Wandsworth Arts Fringe, and was performed at 53two in Manchester, and the Electric Theatre Guildford where it was praised for its “technical wizardry” and described as “delightfully self-referential”. They are currently developing ‘FLITCH’, which was presented at BEAM2023, presented at a Claude-Michel Schonberg masterclass, workshopped with Leeds Conservatoire, and will be performed at the Great Dunmow Flitch Trials this July. They are working with BYMT this Summer to develop their new show Where there are Gaps, which explores the felling of the Sycamore Gap tree.
