Hello lovely people! I have to tell you, I bought this dress a couple of seasons ago (pre loved) and wasn’t sure about it when it arrived. I knew I couldn’t return it but there was just something that didn’t work for me. The neck was too high and I just didn’t think it flattered my shape. Then I had a lightbulb moment of trying it back to front and making a v where the button was. Bingo! I now love it ( and hopefully don’t look like a marshmallow with a pin head!) and wear it on holidays and beautiful sunny days like today! Morning! I’ve had lots of lovely comments re our outfit of the day posts, so I’ll keep em coming but just say when you’ve had enough! I’m going with the white skirt trend today. I have to admit it’s one of the few things I’ve bought recently that’s not pre loved (sorry). I’ve searched for one in my size on various pre loved sites but not had any luck. I know it’s a big trend this season, but I know I’ll wear it for many seasons to come, which helps me justify it to myself! If, like me, you like to feel cool without flashing the flesh, then summer maxi dresses and skirts are the perfect solution. Thankfully we have lots in store, but more of those later! I’ve tucked a crisp (preloved Zara) black shirt in, with white stitching to pull everything together and then belted in black with a black ballet pump too (both pre loved). Today marks my 20th Father’s Day without my wonderful dad. I was so lucky to have had a great relationship with him. I know that’s not the case for everyone and I’m privileged to have had 31 years of him. (Not enough I know). He was tall, handsome, charismatic and had an outfit for every occasion! (Clearly looking at my younger fashion student self I didn’t 🤣🤣). I think of him each and every day, and still miss him hugely. I so so wish he could have met my gorgeous girl as I know he would have adored her just like I do. If you’re fortunate enough to still have a dad or father figure that you’re lucky enough to adore, appreciate each and every moment. Sending love to all those who feel a sense of loss today xxx
