#TimesSquare 🌟 The Father Duffy statue first found a home in Times Square in 1937, five years after the passing of Father Francis Duffy. Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia dedicated the bronze Father Duffy Statue designed by Charles Keck, and signed the law authorizing the renaming of the square to “Father Duffy Square.” The statue has overseen the pedestrianization of Broadway, the building of the red TKTS steps, and many New Year’s Eve celebrations. 🪩🎉
