Thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with me at my grocery store pop-ups last week in Elmira and New Hamburg. I always love hearing directly from you in the community (and giving away free Canada Day signs!) 😁

Congratulations to the winners of the KW Rampage Cricket Club’s annual tournament finals earlier this week! It was the perfect way to celebrate some promising young athletes and the City of Kitchener’s brand new cricket pitches at Kiwanis Park, which officially opened at the beginning of June. I even had the chance to step up to bat a few times myself afterwards 😁

Strawberry season is in full swing, and that’s why I made sure to swing by St. Mark’s Church in Wellesley for their Summer Strawberry Social event! The local Herrle’s strawberries, cake, and ice cream made it a pretty sweet day!

I was thrilled to join Mayor Salonen & the Wilmot community for the grand opening of the revitalized Nith River Promenade & Trail in New Hamburg 🌳✨ This project, supported by our federal government government, transforms a beloved space into a more accessible, sustainable, and vibrant destination. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when all levels of government work together. The upgraded promenade & trail connects residents & visitors to New Hamburg’s natural beauty, showcasing the Reservoir Dam, Waterwheel, & Hartman Bridge. It’s a perfect spot for walks, talks, and enjoying our local landmarks!

Waterloo Region’s local flight centre is taking off! It was great to join colleagues from different levels of government for the grand opening of the Aviation SIM Centre and Innovation Hub, a new facility at the Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre dedicated to those pursuing careers in aviation. I’m proud of our federal government’s $9.2 million investment into this project, which was previously announced by Minister Tassi and has supported the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics’ work on this new centre and innovation hub. With the completion of this project, the future of aviation is even brighter in Waterloo Region ✈

I will be at the New Hamburg No Frills (1540 Haysville Rd.) tomorrow from 3 to 6 pm. Stop in for your sign and to say hello 👋 I’ll be there to hear your feedback and questions. If you can’t make the dates listed and would like a sign, please contact my office. Hope to see you there!

15 bills passed this Spring means real progress on the issues you care about: building more homes, lowering costs, creating good jobs, and much more. Now that I’m back home, I’m looking forward to a packed summer meeting and listening to residents here at home. Can’t wait!
