Most people who know me know that I’m very happy hanging at home with @madisonaichelewrites instead of going out. I definitely wouldn’t call myself the most social person. With that said, I’m really grateful for all the people I get to spend every day with out on the road. Being away from home for extended periods of time can take a lot out of me, but with these guys, it never feels draining. There are many more not pictured, but you’re all appreciated just the same. Looking forward to another great year of touring with this great crew!
Quick tip: if you ever get stage fright or are uncomfortable making eye contact with the audience, simply stare directly into a spot light. You’ll be too worried about going blind for anything else to matter! #protips

Really digging the new @sierraelizabethferrell album and thought I’d take a shot at this great @chrisscruggsofficial solo. My guitar, tuning, and playing might not be quite right, but I always take away some great musical nuggets learning things like this.
Cold snowy days are perfect for staying in and playing mandolin. This whole @wherethefuckissturgillsimpson record is on a consistent rotation for me and this is one of the many great solos from @sierradawnhull
Last year at the airport, I saw @belafleckbanjo sitting by himself at an empty gate, quietly playing banjo on the floor. I quickly went up to him and told him how much of a fan I was. He was very kind, and our interaction was brief, but it really struck me that despite being arguably the greatest banjo player on the planet, how much he still practices and tries to explore new ideas on an instrument he knows so well. I hope always to keep the joy of exploring and discovering new ideas and new music. Here’s one of my favorites off of his Album “My Bluegrass Heart”
A very happy anniversary to my beautiful wife @madisonaichelewrites I’ve been a fortunate man to love and grow with you through the years. Your kindness and thoughtfulness knows no bounds and keeps me striving to be the kind of husband you deserve.
Such a special last show in London! Getting to travel around the world to play music is such an incredible gift and having family there with me made it that much better. Already looking forward to 2024!
