POV: I just turned 21, just moved to LA, just ready to take on the world.
I moved back in with my parents who lived 2 hours, without traffic, from LA. My mom and I drove to LA, I walked into
@luxelab and got an interview on the spot. After my interview, we drove back to my parents house and right as I sat down for dinner I got an email from
@thecococurator saying, can you start tomorrow? My OG Salon parents
@craigwcislo @toomanymelanies took me in as their assistant. I drove 5 hours every morning, because of traffic, to Luxelab from my parents house for a whole month. I was searching for an apartment but it was taking longer than expected to find the right fit. I just made it happen. I knew what I wanted and I knew I was going to do whatever it took to get it. I finally found an apartment and moved my life here which turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made.
I’ve built up a clientele at an amazing salon, I work with two amazing brands
@hairtalkusa @oribe , I’ve worked year after year at LAFW and NYFW, I’ve worked on celebrities, I’m an educator, I’m a mentor, and most importantly I’m a hairstylist that is obsessed with what I do day in and day out. I truly wouldn’t have any other job in the world.
As I hit my 6 year mark in LA and as a stylist
@luxelab I can’t help but look back at what a truly amazing journey this has all been. I’m so beyond thankful for the up’s and down’s, the growth, the mentoring, the friends I’ve made, my mom and dads support, my best friends always being my biggest cheerleaders, my clients and my salon fam. There’s SO many people to thank for being a substantial part of my success💕
I’m so excited to see what’s to come because this is only the beginning✨
