New pix, WHO DAT?! 🙀
Last year when
@stevelimonesphotography pitched his “Hopelessly Devoted to Pink” fashion editorial inspired by
@riseofthepinkladies and asked me to model, I immediately thought he had made a mistake (“You sure you want… me?”). 🥴 I’ve always had a complicated relationship with the way I look, and never thought I would ever be considered for something like this.
But he believed in me. And for that I am eternally grateful. I had never done a fashion editorial, and neither had he (you seriously never would have known. He’s INCREDIBLE)! So I did my best to channel my inner Nancy, and together, along with an insanely talented and supportive dream team of artists, we created something really special. And I’m not just referring to the pictures.
It was the energy in the room. The uplifting collaboration. The way we empowered each other. In just a few hours, a room full of strangers had instantly turned into friends, and touched my heart in a way that transformed me from a derpy little muppet into… well, whoever that person is in the pictures. I literally keep looking at them, and I’m like “WHO TF IS THAT?!” As I’m sure you are, too. Bc, like. HOW?!

Even though ultimately, these photos were never published (for a plethora of reasons: cancellations, strikes, etc), I’m so glad that Steve decided to release them from the vault.
It’s a nice reminder that even if the path takes us down some rough turns, you can still make something beautiful and share it with the people you love. And make people Feel beautiful and loved, while you’re at it. 🖤
Thanks to everyone who made this a truly magical experience that I’ll carry with me forever. You all are sweeter than a giant strawberry sundae. And thank YOU for reading this far. You like… care about me and stuff. I CAN’T WITH YOU!! 😫🥺🥲😭💕
