Just went to a screening of one of my latest short films…’Braids and Bows’. I had such a fun time with this character and loved the message. #beyou❤️ ‘Braids & Bows’ is a poignant coming-of-age story that explores the complexities of adolescence, the search for identity, and the power of friendship to transcend societal barriers. Set against the backdrop of a conservative church community, the film celebrates the journey of self-discovery and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of conformity and prejudice. Nothing good happens when you get involved with an ‘online’ predator. This film, ‘Your Call’ is to remind us to always be aware of who you let into your life, especially if you’ve never seen them face to face and they are befriending you online. Be careful! …and don’t believe everything they tell you. I was thankful to play this role Maysen…especially because of the film’s message. It was a darker role for me, but I enjoy pushing myself to new levels.
