This night is truly the best night of my life because I was crowned with the people that have loved and supported me throughout everything cheering for me in the audience. To my parents @barbara_srivastava @sanjay.sriv_89 , to my amazing directors @cindyprovost and @dmillerusa , my honorary big sister @theginamellish , my amazing costume designer @simblas , modeling queen @fannytvofficial , and @angelicamuanj (who did the most amazing makeup for my headshot by @jessiepalumbo ) I’m surrounded by angels. So grateful to have been the keynote speaker for the @girlupusa Annual Leadership Summit! This year’s theme of Rest & Resist resonated deeply with where I am in my life and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing group of people to share my story with! Day 1 started off incredible with the summit and ended wonderfully by honoring Ms. Shaun Robinson and @kavita.rai at @girlupusa ‘s Gala. Day 2 was endless fun in Venice Beach cleaning up with @oceanwise and new friends (girls and seagulls alike) 🌊✨ Leaving with a sense of community and fulfillment was the best part of my time with @girlup , and it’s certainly not over! In my Speak Now era with @glaad 💜 So grateful to spend the night with an organization that works tirelessly to bring visibility to LGBTQIA+ and minority communities. As an advocate for acceptance and inclusion myself, I know that seeing accurate representation in the media is important for EVERYONE, and @glaad continues to uplift queer voices to inspire change. As a 16 year old, I know the impact that our generation can have on the legislative process, our nation, and our world. The power of your voice is invaluable, especially with the upcoming election. Even if you can’t vote yet, speak up, speak out, and speak NOW about the issues you want to see payed attention to. There is more love than hate in this world, and together we can create a future where everyone is seen, accepted, and heard. Thank you to everyone who has supported me these past two years, it has truly been an honor to represent you all. While this was certainly not how I saw my reign coming to a close, I am excited to continue my advocacy for education and acceptance, start applying to colleges, and share some exciting new projects on That’s Fan Behavior with those of you who plan to stick around 🥰 At the end of the day, I am so lucky to have had the privilege of this experience, but if this is just a chapter, I know that the story of my life will truly be incredible.
