Thank you so much to everyone who came out to
@wildsidemediaco ’s first annual Walk on the Wild Side event on June 15 in support of the city’s diverse, vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
Not only did we have the best time throwing an 8-hour party in
@unionmarketdc to celebrate Pride, we had the opportunity to raise awareness for the new DC LGBTQ+ Community Center + expand our cultural programming to include:
• 30+ performances featuring drag, burlesque, live art, roller skating + voguing
• 25+ vendors in 2 makers markers including tarot, astrology, aura photography, body painting + more
• 10+ immersive activations, from a pop-up podcast studio with
@legacy.sessions to a
@woollymammothtc -inspired, write-a-love-letter-to-your-gender theatre set
We couldn’t be more grateful for the Walk on the Wild Side team’s commitment to manifesting this experience, our volunteers for donating their time + energy, the community for believing in our vision + of course, our attendees for their generous donations to the DC LGBTQ+ Community Center.
