Every July, Disability Pride Month is celebrated to commemorate the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26th, 1990. Observing Disability Pride Month is intended to change the way society perceives disability, emphasizing the inherent value and dignity of all people, and to raise awareness of the pride felt within the disability community. Disability pride is critical to end the stigmas around disability. To learn more about Disability Pride Month, read the article linked in our bio! #InclusionIsGood #DisabilityPrideMonth

Today we join @unitedcerebralpalsy and others in honoring the legacies of Ms. Lois Curtis and Ms. Elaine Wilson and celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Olmstead v. L.C. decision. This momentous ruling affirmed that the institutionalization of individuals with disabilities was discriminatory and that everyone, no matter their abilities, has the right to live and receive services in their communities. #InclusionIsGood #Honoring25YearsOfOlmstead #UnitedCerebralPalsy #DisabilityHistory #DisabilityRights

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth and honor the legacy of Willie Mays, a true pioneer who shattered racial barriers in Major League Baseball. We took an adult outing to the historic Civil Rights District to cherish and reflect the home of the Birmingham Black Barons and Southern Negro League. Your support makes educational outings like these possible. #Juneteenth #WillieMays #MLB #RickwoodField #Community #Grateful #BreakingBarriers
