Every July, Disability Pride Month is celebrated to commemorate the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26th, 1990. Observing Disability Pride Month is intended to change the way society perceives disability, emphasizing the inherent value and dignity of all people, and to raise awareness of the pride felt within the disability community.
