Sing Out Brussels, the host choir for the next festival, organised the "Various Voices Rising" show last Saturday, with the Polish choir Voces Gaudii and the Dutch choir DynamiQ Voices, to celebrate European solidarity. Rehearsals, a show, a tour of Brussels, an afterparty and a closing brunch: it wasn't Various Voices yet, but it already had the atmosphere and the spirit. Sing Out Brussels, het gastkoor voor het volgende festival, organiseerde afgelopen zaterdag samen met het Poolse koor Voces Gaudii en het Nederlandse koor DynamiQ Voices de show "Various Voices Rising" om de Europese solidariteit te vieren. Repetities, een show, een rondleiding door Brussel, een afterparty en een afsluitende brunch: het was Various Voices nog niet, maar de sfeer en de spirit waren er al wel. Last weekend, around twenty members of European LGBTQI+ choirs took part in the "Rendez-vous in Brussels" organised by Legato. Our team showed them around the venues that will be hosting the festival, in particular the Palais des Beaux-Arts, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as a number of concerts. Our artistic director Simon Paco then presented the major events that will take place during the festival. We answered a lot of questions and received a lot of feedback that we'll be taking into account as we prepare for this event. Le week-end dernier, une vingtaine de membres de chorales LGBTQI+ européennes ont participé au "Rendez-vous à Bruxelles" organisé par Legato. Notre équipe leur a fait découvrir les lieux qui accueilleront le festival, notamment le Palais des Beaux-Arts qui accueillera la cérémonie d'ouverture et de clôture, ainsi que de nombreux concerts. Afgelopen weekend namen ongeveer twintig leden van Europese LGBTQI+-koren deel aan de "Rendez-vous in Brussel", georganiseerd door Legato. Ons team leidde hen rond op de locaties waar het festival zal plaatsvinden, in het bijzonder het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten, waar de openings- en sluitingsceremonie en een aantal concerten zullen plaatsvinden. Onze artistiek directeur Simon Paco presenteerde vervolgens de belangrijkste evenementen die zullen plaatsvinden tijdens het festival. We beantwoordden heel wat vragen en kregen heel wat feedback waarmee we rekening zullen houden bij de voorbereiding van dit evenement. EN - Wednesday evening was the annual general meeting of Various Voices Brussels 2026, the association set up to organise the festival in the name of @singoutbrussels ! We welcomed members of other Belgian LGBTQI+ choirs and associations to present the festival and involve them in our discussions. For example, we organised a brainstorming session on the affordability of the festival. This gave participants the opportunity to exchange best practices and ideas. It was all very inspiring! Our team will now continue the work, building on all these good ideas. Thank you to all the participants!
FR- Mercredi soir se tenait l'assemblée générale annuelle de Various Voices Brussels 2026, l'association créée pour organiser le festival au nom de Sing Out Brussels ! Nous avons accueilli des membres d'autres chorales et associations LGBTQI+ belges pour présenter le festival et les impliquer dans nos discussions. Par exemple, nous avons organisé une session de brainstorming sur l'accessibilité financière du festival. Les participants ont ainsi eu l'occasion d'échanger des bonnes pratiques et des idées. Tout cela a été très inspirant ! Notre équipe va maintenant poursuivre le travail en s'appuyant sur toutes ces bonnes idées. Merci à tous les participants !
NL - Woensdagavond was de jaarlijkse algemene vergadering van Various Voices Brussels 2026, de vereniging die werd opgericht om het festival in naam van Sing Out Brussels te organiseren! We verwelkomden leden van andere Belgische LGBTQI+ koren en verenigingen om het festival voor te stellen en hen te betrekken in onze discussies. We organiseerden bijvoorbeeld een brainstormsessie over de betaalbaarheid van het festival. Dit gaf deelnemers de kans om best practices en ideeën uit te wisselen. Het was allemaal erg inspirerend! Ons team gaat nu verder met het werk, voortbouwend op al deze goede ideeën. Dank aan alle deelnemers!
