The highlight of my trip to Ireland was a boat tour with @blasketislandsealifetours in Dingle. It’s a 2-1/2 hour trip around Dingle Bay, Slea Head and the Blasket Islands. We saw seals, dolphins, puffins and even deer on an island. We also explored sea caves, arches and coves. You ride in a ‘RIB’ boat that is low to the water so you are close to everything. The views are breathtaking, seeing dolphins (my favorite animal) so close was a dream and the captain was fun and knowledgeable - he knew a lot about the marine life and the local history. This is a must do when you visit Ireland! My European travels have brought me back to my favorite place on the planet - Ireland. I am often asked why I am so obsessed with Ireland. I could write pages and pages of all the reasons why Ireland has completely captured my heart. But if I had to sum it up in a few sentences, I would tell you this: I am not a religious person; I’ve seen a lot of ugliness in this world; I’ve had moments where I have questioned if God even existed; and I have searched for him in some of the darkest moments of my life. But when I am in Ireland, taking in beauty that my eyes have a hard time even comprehending is real and tears come to my eyes, I have never felt like there is a God more. Mont Saint-Michel: 🇫🇷🏰 I took a tour offered as a shore excursion offered by @windstarcruises and it was magical! This island sits just off the coast of Normandy, France. The extreme tides of the bay alternate between exposing the sand flats around it and surrounding it with sea water. Walking through the tiny village and the thousand year old abbey was like being in a fairytale. In fact the castle where Rapunzel’s parents live in the movie Tangled was inspired by this magical place! Thank you to Windstar Cruises for bringing me to a place I have dreamed of seeing!
