Happy Juneteenth 2024 from Santa Fe! We had an amazing day celebrating Juneteenth (considered the “longest-running African-American holiday and a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans) on the plaza in Downtown Santa Fe. The day included great music, food, vendors and booths, a proclamation from the Mayor, a history of Juneteenth to keep this day’s importance centered and so much community love and togetherness. @vitalspacesnm is proud to have led the charge on this event with all of our sponsors (@lensic360 , @santafeartsandculture , Santa Fe NAACP, Empower! Black Futures Community Fund, @nm_oaaa , Soul Food, @webstercollection , @meow__wolf ) partners, staff, volunteers and friends. Special thanks to @gaaronteed_fresh for shooting, editing and producing this video! ✊🏾❤️#juneteenth

Anyone have big art?! We are partnering with @violetcrown_santafe in the Railyard in some big ways (more on all the ways soon…) and are looking for art to display in this room. Due to the size of the space and the required position of the hanging work, we ask that the work be large (36x36 inches or 3x3 feet, minimum) and be ready to be hung (with a wire on the back and ideally, framed). Work must be ready to be installed the first week of June. Are you interested or know someone who might be? Follow the link in our bio for more info and to apply!
