JULIE BABY is fundamentally about the passing on of shame from one woman to another. All too often, this hand-off occurs within our most intimate relationships, the family, and starts at a young age. Though love is there, carelessness and hurt can be too. JULIE BABY explores all of this as 7-year-old Julie goes from being called a baby to a whore in the span of an afternoon. Not one to be told anything, Julie investigates these words for herself. In doing so, she discovers not only the power of self-identification but also her ability to stand up for others facing bullying.
It was a wonderful journey full of discoveries, and such a joy to play with @riley.me.cooper & @bettyjo_austin and be directed by @emilyagrooms . Thank you 🙏

If someone had told me as a kid that I’d not only enjoy berry picking but also pay for the experience, I’d think it was a joke. Living in New York, you learn quickly that you have to pay for nearly everything the moment you step out of your home—or to be exact, the moment you open your eyes.
But I’m glad there’s an option to visit the farm and pick the freshest, most delicious berries in the summer. It brings a little nostalgia from the days when we took everything for granted and makes me want to hop on the plane and get lost in Siberian forest picking those wild strawberries remembering my childhood.🍓🍒
