Last week the @weareaplfi and the @adb_hq entered an agreement to bring EV education to the Philippines to prepare for a green, electric future. This project will be supported by American innovation to help lead the way.
I am the product of American generosity. I started my journey with the Pearl S Buck Foundation, leading to my adoption. My dad, Joe Ben Hudgens, brought me to the Stares so that I can be seen by the best ophthalmologists for my visual condition. I was born with nystagmus.
I am one of the many Amerasians around Clark Airbase so this project literally hits home for me. To be able to bring American ingenuity and innovation is a very personal thing for me.
An EV future is an inevitable and necessary step to help fight climate change. The Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia are some of the places most affected by climate change. Together the Apldeap Foundation International, along with @legacy.ev and the @adb_hq , aim to bring EV education to the country to help prepare the Philippines to be participants in a green, electric future.

The collab between @weareaplfi x @mondaysuck drops this Friday. Who wants?
Our mission is to nurture young creatives and create an environmentally and economically sustained future. APLFI has built classrooms and music/recording studios from Angeles to Los Angeles.
The first collection showcases a heavyweight hoodie, featuring puff-print branding on the front and APLFI descriptions on the back. Emblazoned with a large wood dragon on the sleeves to honor the Chinese New Year, the hoodies are available in two color ways: Ivory and Black. All items are designed and manufactured in the Philippines.

A look back to 2019 when the Apl.de.Ap Foundation International donated a retinal camera to San Fernando hospital in Pampanga. This was the second retinal camera donated from the foundation, and the only two in the country that exist outside of Metro Manila. This is critical because diagnosing premature blindness must be done in 48 hours, which is a near impossibility due to traffic and difficult due to the country’s transit.
What an amazing experience we had at @legacy.ev in Tempe, AZ for their EV Academy. We got to learn the EV fundamentals, safety protocols, battery management, motor programming, as well as meeting new people in the industry all in one week. Thank you Legacy!
