A beautiful day in Atlanta today, where we commemorated the demolition of North DeKalb Mall to make way for Lulah Hills. It was a swingin' party, to be sure! ⚒️ “We’ve done this multiple times, but each time I recognize the passion of this team and how hard everyone has worked to bring us to this day." -- Jodie W. McLean. Congratulations to Southeast regional head, Herbert Ames, to the team at EDENS embarking on this massive and impactful mixed-use project, to our staff who put on a great show, and to the North DeKalb Community for your continued supprt. 🚧 👷‍♂️ 👷‍♀️ @lulahhills | A Place by @WeAreEdens 📷 by @heidiface

🎨 ✨ Today we unveiled a new mural at 27th + Larimer in Denver as one of four sites chosen for Absolute Equality’s national Juneteenth Mural Project. Denver has a rich history and legacy centered on black Americans. In the 1850s, free blacks and enslaved people journeyed alongside fur trappers and miners to Colorado in search of financial opportunities in the gold mines. The promise of freedom in the American Southwest made Denver a prime location for those who desired a life based on the idea of "absolute equality." -- absoluteequality.org We were thrilled to welcome back award-winning and world-renowned artist Thomas Evans aka Detour for the creation and unveiling of their incredible portrait of Clara Brown. If you’re in Denver’s RiNo district, please stop by Noble Riot to check out our latest mural. 📷 by @dean_maschine . Left to right: Darrel Anderson, Thomas Evans aka @detour303 , Al Gardner.

Union Market District’s 12th annual Sunday Supper event is coming up on June 2 at Dock5! 🍽️✨   We recently launched an exclusive content partnership with DC-based @wildsidemediaco to capture incredible stories from our community about Sunday Supper. 🎥   Hear from two leaders in D.C.’s hospitality scene, Daniella Senior (@coladashop ) and AJ Johnson (@serenatadc ), who are also part our La Cosecha’s community, as they share why they love Union Market District’s signature event.   Sunday Supper is a fantastic party with great food that also directly supports nonprofit organizations working hard to make the hospitality industry more dynamic, equitable, and sustainable.   Tap the link in bio to learn more about Sunday Supper!

"We don’t own the streets we walk on but in our head, they become our moments." -- Trent Thompson, artist. 🎨 Trent is co-owner and partner of the Oakland, California-based creative collective @abgprojects , with Sorrell Raino-Tsui and Erika Enriquez. They designed and created the “Tunnel of Love / Welcome to Beautiful Alamo, California” mural as part of EDENS’ revitalization efforts after acquiring the 200,282 square-foot Alamo Plaza Shopping Center in 2022. The complex mural project took six months to complete, in three parts. Thirteen smaller murals, described by Trent as ‘postcards,’ depict iconic Alamo landmarks like Mount Diablo, Oak Hill Memorial Park and Summit Ranch Equine Center. ABG Group collaborated with the Alamo Historical Society and longtime residents to capture local stories. 🌿 Cultivating a Greener Tomorrow 🌿 We take seriously the responsibility for the collective wellbeing of our communities inclusive of the wellbeing of our planet. Which is why EDENS initiated a sustainability task force more than 15 years ago. Our objective reflects our vision of places where people come together routinely for real-world connection and communities that are resilient, healthy and prosperous for generations to come. The official organizers of Earth Day (since 1970) have designated this year's theme as “Planet vs. Plastics,” advocating for widespread awareness on the health risk of plastics and urging us all to rapidly phase out all single use plastics. For more facts and information on how you can get involved, including clean-up crews in your local community, visit earthday.org. 👥 Join Us on this journey together, let’s reimagine what’s possible. 🌏
