I Ate Too Much Garlic Bread & Now I Feel Sick. More acoustic shows?

The Trash™ just got a whole lot Cheekier… 🦝 We are thrilled to announce that @cake_jheek / @jakecheekmusic has officially joined the fold as our bassist and frontman. We’ve had the pleasure of performing alongside Jake at a number of shows where he’s opened for us, all the while we’ve been convinced that we should be opening for him. Jake is an extremely talented dude, a huge boon to the band, a local legend, and a great friend. We are SO excited to show you what we’ve been working on with Jake, as we feel he adds a richness to Pure Trash that sets us on a really fucking exciting path forward. Pure Trash are heartbroken to announce the passing on of our friend, frontman, songwriting muse, driving force and by far and away our tallest member, Jamie Stewart 💔 Whilst he isn’t dead, it is with a heavy heart and much consternation that Jamie has decided to move on from The Trash™ due to the many commitments that entail being so ruggedly handsome, and we are incredibly sorry to see him go. In all seriousness, Jamie was a defining factor in this band being a thing in the first place, and without him, things are going to be musically a little different. But, we all know how hard it is to juggle band stuff when life stuff keeps getting in the way. We three (Cole, Dan, Mike) had a lot of conversations about how to move forward, and with that in mind, we will have some announcements very soon, but rest assured that we aren’t going anywhere just yet. We will be moving forward, and we’re also very excited for what comes next for Pure Trash and are super excited to share things once they begin falling into place. At the moment, we’ve shaped things slightly differently for an acoustic set at @twmlive next week, so please come on down as it would mean the world to see you there 🌎 Our new single Hitting Home will be hitting the World Wide Web on Friday February 2nd and includes the final recordings of Jamie’s beautiful voice, so please check it out 🎵🎤 Watch this space. We just filmed a music video for our upcoming single "Hitting Home" on February 1st. Massive thanks to @arlooo.xx for making us look cool even though we are 100% not. Our numbers may not be huge, but we are insanely grateful to each and every one of you who’s given us your time this year. We’ve been a bit inconsistent throughout 2023, but we’ve got new music on the way next year and we’re excited to pull up our boot straps and show you what we’re truly made of. We had a marvellous time playing @hotboxliveevents with wildly talented guys in @admissionsuk @thisboysfireofficial and our main sad boi brethren Jake Cheek. Coming off a huge high, we have another show coming up, this Saturday at The Steamboat Tavern in Ipswich with the legends in @fisti_kuffsuk and @backtothepointband .
