“I will forever be indebted to Barbie. It’s changed everything in my life,” says @ariana_greenblatt of her breakout role as Sasha, the angsty, outspoken preteen in Greta Gerwig’s box-office hit last summer. When moviegoers took to theaters last summer in their pinkest ensembles expecting the bubbly and blonde duo of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, it was Greenblatt’s character, Sasha, who left a lasting impression on them, recounting their teenage years. At just 16 years old, the actor has hit milestones that peers much older than her are still working towards, but she’s only just getting started. Post #Barbie phenomenon, Greenblatt has started production on the third installment of the Now You See Me film franchise and will also return to the big screen in the action-adventure comedy Borderlands. Not to mention she has her sights set on what she’d like to write, produce, and direct. “A lot of the time, they give teenage characters to 20- to 30-year-olds. If they do give a younger actor a role, it’s not a very meaty character,” she says of her desire to create and tell stories that align with her generation’s point of view. In our latest cover story, Greenblatt’s strong nature and future aspirations remind us all that this is what it’s like to be a passionate teenager in 2024. We discuss growing up in Hollywood in this day and age, the impact of social media, and more on her ambitions to be a young storyteller in our Girls of Summer cover story at the link in our bio. photographer: @leeorwild stylist: @laurenegg hair: @glencocoforhair at @theprtnrs makeup: @allanface nails: @nailsbyzola creative director: @arrrrmani production: @delafe_ video director: @samueljosephs DP: @samrmiron AC: @jonmoss07 sound: kari barber associate video producer: kelliefilmedthat video editor: @collinhughart executive director, entertainment: @jbake21 writer: @thatgirlyusra designer: @makenafred

“Everyone online is like, ‘You’re fucking crazy.’ But girl, you’ve never seen crazy. You’ve never seen Alex Consani in the Bay Area. Like, that’s crazy.” Having grown up in Marin County, California, @alexconsani ’s move to New York City provided a better-equipped environment for her unapologetically bold personality. She was the youngest-ever signed trans model, and despite having spent 17 years often being the only trans girl in the room, she’s never been anyone but herself. “It’s definitely interesting because now I’m in a space where it’s more celebrated—not so much like, ‘Oh, this bitch is walking around by herself screaming at the top of her lungs,’” she explains. Many of us got our first glimpses of Consani’s off-duty antics on TikTok, where she often appears on our For You pages dancing on the subway or creating viral sound bites as she’s interviewed backstage at runway shows. These days, she’s everywhere, from luxury campaigns to @charli_xcx ’s It girl–filled “360” music video. (She’s so Julia.) What’s next for the model and social media phenomenon? She tells us she’s taken up acting classes after starring in a short film and that “trying to get in the coms, the roms, and the yawns” is her next pursuit. At the link in our bio, read about Consani’s latest hopes and dreams in the full cover story, from her endeavors in entertainment to potentially mothering a future nepo baby. photographer: @emmieamerica stylist: @natalietauger hair: @gingerleighryan makeup: @kuma126 nails: @fr3ndlynails production design: laura hugh art director: @bonatalia production: @eventure.nyc video director: @samueljosephs DP: @samrmiron 1st AC: @_mikeciercierski sound: @hovy_ associate video producer: kelliefilmedthat executive director, entertainment: @jbake21 writer: @balencianas designer: @allyquirk

Cutting through the noise of the music business comes with an endless list of choices to make. Exploring new styles while maintaining a recognizable sound, navigating an industry largely influenced by social media, and branding oneself as a musician could easily drive anyone to decision fatigue. But for @pinkpantheress , there’s never been an option outside of authenticity. “I told myself before I even made music, ‘If I don’t find my own sound, there’s no point,’” the 23-year-old producer and singer-songwriter tells us. “In the mainstream, it’s hard to name many Black women who have gained attention for making alternative music. I could definitely name some, but I’m hard-pressed because we’re less visible in these niche genres.” PinkPantheress was anonymously releasing tracks from her London bedroom before revealing her face to the internet and becoming widely adored for her genre-bending music and distinctly retro sense of style. After a string of viral hits, including her catchy collaboration with @icespice and a song on the @barbiethemovie soundtrack, she’s amassed 16.5 million listeners on Spotify and has been named @billboard ’s 2024 Producer of the Year. Citing the future of music as her driving force, she muses that she’d “love to be seen as an icon in electronic music.” With how things are going, she’s already earned that title in our book. For more on PinkPantheress’s perspective as a Black woman in entertainment, her relationship with fashion, and her hopes that like-minded artists will be recognized for “never compromising who [they] are,” read the full cover story at the link in our bio. photographer: @leeorwild stylist: @mil3na_agbaba hair: @theshelbyswain makeup: @sararobeymakeup nails: @kimmiekyees creative director: @arrrrmani production: lindsay ferro video director: @samueljosephs DP: @samrmiron AC: @jonmoss07 sound: Jae Kim associate video producer: kelliefilmedthat video editor: @jamespost.co executive director, entertainment: @jbake21 writer: @fashionwithjazz designer: @__johnsy__ special thanks @satellite414

As beauty editors, we’re not easily swayed by a celebrity-endorsed beauty product. But when three or more A-listers cite something as their holy grail? Color us influenced. Showing up in the makeup routines of @sabrinacarpenter , @ritaora , and, most recently, @haileybieber , the @tomfordbeauty contour-highlight duo is clearly the It-girl bronzing product of summer 2024. Head to the link in our bio to snag it before it inevitably sells out. video: @haileybieber on TikTok

Capris have ebbed and flowed in the trend cycle over the years, dating back to the '50s when Audrey Hepburn made them her signature pants. Now that they're rising in popularity again, we're looking to the '80s, when no one looked chicer in a pair of capris than Princess Diana. Styling them with classic pieces like white blouses and red sweaters, Lady Di's approach offers timeless outfit inspiration. At the link in our bio, shop some of our favorite pairs on the market to create your own capri-pants outfit. photo: getty images
