We love recycling and reusing materials! We built our Des Moines Ciderhouse using reclaimed wood from a 100-year-old barn, giving it a character you won't find anywhere else. Even our beautiful plates have a story – they're rescued treasures from the thrift store! Come experience our Ciderhouse and savor delicious farm-to-table cuisine at our full service bar, dining room or our newly opened patio! 🍽️
Teaching children where their food comes from can foster a deeper appreciation for nature, healthier habits, and critical thinking skills.

Ditch the stress of baking and let us handle dessert this year. This special offer includes both baked and frozen Apple Pies, a classic American treat to celebrate freedom and family. Our pies are all made in-house with fruit from our orchards, and for this Independence Day, the pricing is as follows:

Over the last few years we've shifted from monoculture, where just one crop fills the fields, to a method called polyculture. Polyculture farming is the practice of planting a mix of crops together, mimicking the rich diversity found in natural ecosystems.
The reasons why we made the change:
☀️ The diverse landscape provides a welcoming habitat for wildlife
☀️ Reduces and eliminates the need for chemical pesticides and herbicides
☀️ Richer soil that retains moisture and nutrients
☀️ Stronger food security
We want to feel good about knowing we're doing the most for our guests and natural environment

Grant and Evie, came all the way from San Diego to visit our Des Moines farm. Evie loves farms, so Grant secretly asked us to stage a special tour leading him to the perfect proposal spot - the apple orchard!
Little did we know, Grant's connection to Wilson's Orchard and Farm ran as deep Evie's love for agriculture. After the heartwarming proposal (she said yes!), we discovered Grant is the grandson of a beloved staff member and close family friend, a true pillar in our farm's early days. And Evie is from Shanghai, China - a city close to the hearts of the owners at Wilson's.
It's amazing how life comes full circle. Now, Evie and Grant hold a special place in our orchard's hearts, forever marked by a proposal rooted in family history.
