Probably not the best idea to write an official premise before I've even figured out half of the lore for this entire thing, but I wanted to prove that yes, I am actually getting somewhere with this. I have no clue where this will go in the future, perhaps a book series comprising shorter novels like Terry Pratchett's Discworld, but all connecting to the overarching world and storyline. Or it'll just be kept as a hobby. Either way, I'm enjoying it for now, and I'm looking forward to sharing more excerpts with you all. Actually pulled himself together and finished a writing task. Who'd have though? - Arty

Alrighty gamers, time to get back on track. Writing the book was an admirable and aspirational idea, however in the time I had to complete it I consistently felt that I was writing because I had to, instead of doing it because I wanted to. This did not make me happy. Whilst writing, I found I vastly preferred the worldbuilding and exposition aspects of my stories rather than building a plot around them - which was fun at first, but left me wanting to get to all the interesting bits too fast. In combat to this, I have decided to change things around. For those of you who were there at the beginning, "The Five Rounds of Hell" has been put on hold indefinitely. I felt it was just too much to write a full novel from a single character's perspective and include very little supporting characters. One day I might go back to it, or maybe I'll include some references in what I plan to do next. Now, here's the important part: Because of my newfound enjoyment, I am going to focus my entire mind on creating the world that would have been present in my most recent series idea, "Heirs of Shadow." A majority of this book would have focused on a wrongfully banished prince attempting to infiltrate his own kingdom to steal back the crown jewels, with the help of a thief with a dangerous past, however this worldbuilding aspect enables me now to fill out all the blank areas of my world with history, lore and characters, almost like a DnD campaign. Updates may not come frequently, however I feel a lot more free with what I have chosen to do and as such I can share more with people on my progress, small extracts from the lives of my characters to gain a better understanding of the world. Here we go again - Arty
