Join Loose Articles at The Wardrobe on the 21st April 2024 with support from Phoebe Hall and Helle! ‘Specialising in discord, repetition, boozy nights out and radical politics. Our music is for everyone to get through the age of austerity tongue in cheek, pint in hand and two feet firmly on the dancefloor.’ LOOSE ARTICLES “Hailing from Leeds, feminist punk fourpiece Helle erupted onto the Leeds scene in 2021 in a flurry of blistering riffs, unflinching lyrics and explosive live intensity. Combining soaring vocals and shout-along choruses with hard-edged instrumentation, Helle are an irresistible firestorm of grit and glamour that takes no prisoners.” HELLE Big thanks to @cloudpoizon for designing the poster! Hosted by The Wardrobe Co-promoted by Your Name Here Presents and Come Play With Me. TICKETS IN BIO!!!.

QUEERCORE 31/10/23 Queercore: Night of The Living was one of the biggest gigs we’ve put on and all the work was worth it. Big thanks to everyone who worked, played and promoted the event - the turn out was incredible. It is so essential to create spaces where people can celebrate their queerness and it is amazing that we achieved it. Sheaf St Just a post to say goodbye to somewhere special. Sheaf St was an incredible venue run by incredible people and I was lucky to be part of the team. Sheaf st was supportive and gave me the opportunity to be part of so many cool and different events as well as plan a few. The Leeds independent scene is struggling. Now more than ever the venues, promoters, artists and creatives need support.

Feeling Spooky? The best Queer halloween party is just around the corner… Headlined by Dream Nails for a special celebration of Queer Punk and DJs, QueerCore: Night of The Living is not a gig to miss!  On the 31st October at The Wardrobe our headliners are joined by Brighton band Lambrini Girls, inspiration drawn from the likes of Savages, Le Tigre, The Spice Girls and unresolved trauma; not only do Lambrini Girls plan on setting your bin on fire, they want to create spaces at shows for anyone who feels like there isn’t a place for them there already. Opening our event is local Leeds band Fuzzlightyear, who are ones to watch in the Leeds punk scene! Releasing multiple singles the latest being “Calton Hill” and “Dense Worship”.  As IT IS Halloween we expect only the best Halloween Costumes as you will be judged!  TICKETS IN BIO & LEEDS 2023 Website See you there YNHP x
