Earlier this year, six YOUROPE members were part of the Music Ambassadors Tour in Ukraine. Our friends and partners at @musicsavesukraine & @uame.org.ua hosted 12 ambassadors from all over Europe for five days. They visited Kyiv, Borodyanka, Irpin, and Chernihiv to see with their own eyes the consequences and scale of Russia’s war in Ukraine that has been going on for two and a half years now.
YOUROPE’s chairman Christof Huber (@gadget_ch | @openairstgallen ): “The Music Ambassador Tour was very intense and emotional for me. I won’t forget these reports from eyewitnesses and pictures of destruction and damage. On the other hand, I was amazed by the strength of Ukrainian People, their connection and loyalty to their beloved country. We must stand with Ukraine!”

YOUROPE expertise meets classical music and theatre festivals! Come join us at Green Culture Festival in Park Sanssouci, Potsdam, Germany. On June 3rd, we'll host the panel "Open Air, Climate Change & Responsibility".
Climate change requires us to rethink some aspects of events. Open air events in particular must adapt their production and safety measures. We want to focus on two challenges here: 1) measures to counter climate-related extreme weather events and 2) strategies to minimise a festival's impact. In most cases, this is dealt with in different departments: security and sustainability. In our panel, four absolute experts in both fields will discuss what festivals are already doing in both regards, and how measures can help or hinder each other:

Accessibility at festivals is still a challenge, and it is often seen as a costly burden. If you recognize yourself in this, we invite you to join a transformative journey with Revelland: a network of creatives from across Europe committed to exploring a new approach of accessibility. Festivals like Sziget, Roskilde, and ESNS, together with musicians, sensory experts, inclusion boards, and immersive designers, designed inclusive live music shows through immersive experiences.
In this session, participants can expect some tips on how to creatively put accessibility into action: through immersive and multisensory event planning as well as concrete advice that participants will be able to exercise right away when they get back home.
