There’s no better feeling, am I right ?
I like my corners to have a little WIGGLE room because as an extension wearer there is nothing worse than a tight corner.
And as an extension artist there’s nothing worse than an unhealthy corner. It’s so important to make sure you aren’t creating too much tension , especially in the corner beads where the hair tends to be the most fragile.
Things that can cause too much tension in the corners ::
:: too many stitches :: you need to find the happy medium with corner stitching. Make sure you have enough to keep your weft nice and flat, but not so many that it causes bunching and bulk up front.
:: “stretching” your wefts as you sew :: one you’ve got those babies clipped down, try not to mess with them much at all and don’t stretch them into place as you go, this can cause pulling on the corner you started on.
:: too tight beading :: you want your bead section to be placed with the least amount of tension. If you notice scalp discoloration (red irritation or white from lack of blood flow) your bead is too tight.
