For our #ArtworkOfTheWeek , we’re featuring ‘Gonzalo Blue’ by Jo de Pear, represented by @ginacross_projects
Jo collects sea coral washed up from Antigua's shores to create her stunning cyanotype prints. 🪸
Using the intense Caribbean sunlight, she crafts unique, one-off ‘sun prints’ by coating paper with light-sensitive emulsion. She casts strong, sharp shadows from her subject matter, before washing the shadows away and developing the prints with water.
We can’t get enough of her gorgeous colour palettes! 😍

“People can come in and feel comfortable and confident in their own tastes.”

This Pride Month, we’re continuing to celebrate and champion love, inclusivity, and the joyful spirit of the LGBTQ+ community in the art world. 🌈
Art is a powerful medium for expression and change, and we’re proud to spotlight artists at our fair who embody these values or explore sexual identity through their work.
One artist we absolutely love is Amsterdam-based Chris Rijk, represented by Rademakers Gallery in the Netherlands. He’s a must-know voice in contemporary ceramics!
