“The Sony Alpha 9 III is the best hybrid camera I’ve ever used, especially for weddings. Its brand new global shutter sensor doesn’t rely on a physical shutter, which opens up a world of possibilities. You can take up to 120 raw photos per second with the best autofocus on the market as well as giving you the ability to flash sync at up to 1/80,000th of a second as well. In video, it gives amazing 4K 10-bit 4.2.2 footage at up to 120fps as well without any of the rolling shutter issues as every pixel reads out instantaneously.” - @benjhaisch . What’s wild about doing photos via a helicopter is that you can just point to a spot and say, “can we stop there?” and boom, you’re on top of a mountain overlooking a massive glacier. That said, I see photographers often putting people in spots where there is no way I’d feel comfortable having clients go. It’s just not worth the risk, so prioritizing safety and client comfort level is always tops.

How crazy is this???
Nothing like being able to take up to 120 photos per second and create video clips while still taking full resolution photographs with full autofocus in RAW.

Made using the @sonyalpha A9III at 60 photos per second. (GoPro for the first BTS portion)

Improve your photography with this easy composition tip! Ft: @benjhaisch and @whoismatt
Framing is an easy way to create visual interest inside your photos, it helps highlight your subject and tells the viewer where to look. Looking for photo opportunities with contrasting colors that compliment each other can also help to create visual interest and bring your compositions together!
Disclaimer: Lumix provided the S9 for me to test and paid for a portion of my trip to Japan, the photos you are seeing are straight out of camera from a pre-production model. Check out the full length video for more details!

These are all straight out of camera JPEGs from the first day using the #LUMIXS9 in Osaka & Kyoto. Lightroom doesn’t even support the S9 raw files anyway, so I could even edit them if I wanted to.
Seeing the Mona Lisa always seems to have an impact on me, but not really for the reasons you’d expect. Sure, it’s a brilliant painting, but the fact that such a small work of art that is surrounded by MASSIVE installations can captivate the attention of humanity for hundreds of years the way that it has. It also makes me think more of the longevity of my own work and how silly it is to think I can post thousands of photos on this platform and expect thousands of people to like it (and if they don’t, like it’s a failure). What about you?
When you’re the photographer but are still inspired by old Super 8 & Super 16 footage. Plus, ending a wedding video at the ceremony seems silly, but instagram only gives me 90 seconds, so here is the reception.

Filmed on the Sony FX3 + 24mm f/2.8G lens (mostly at f/8)
