Hey friends! I realized today that while I’ve been really active on my personal
@benjhaisch page, I’ve let this page sit over the last few weeks. Between my multiple accounts, YouTube, Patreon, actual client work, and just personal life I haven’t updated this to what’s going on in the world and I apologize for that.

As I was searching for a photograph to post for this, I checked the
#cascadepresets hashtag and loved that this one from
@carolynmariephotography was the “top” image for that tag.

I’ll say that unequivocally, Black Lives Matter and I’m personally committed to advocating for the Black community both in my own personal photography business as well as with these presets. In the process of developing the Cascade, I made it a point to have a very wide range of cameras, photographers, and subjects to test them on. I hate that the way things work, most presets are only tested on mostly white skin tones, which makes things problematic. We had a very multi racial group that helped me beta test them and specially wanted to show test images and marketing material with BIPOC instead of the typical couples you often see from many brands.
-
While doing that, I still recognize that even that effort isn’t just “good enough” and we’re committing to keep up the fight for racial justice and equality specifically within the photography industry as well.
-
I’ll share a few posts in the stories from my personal account that highlights 30 different Black wedding industry voices to give a follow to. I don’t even know if any use these presets, but that’s definitely not that point.

Thank you all for your support of these presets and I’d love for this community to continue to be a force for justice and equality in the photography industry. Thanks, -Benj
