The film features two illustrated posters by Jacques Fourastie for the iconic films ‘Tales of Hoffmann’ (1951) and ‘Red Shoes’ (1984) by the legendary directing duo Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. 📢 Important update for creators and users of Meta platforms! 📢   Meta’s new privacy policy updates allow the use of user data to train AI models, affecting Instagram and Facebook users.   DACS, @alcs_uk , @becs_performers , PICSEL, and @directors_uk have written to the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum to call for an investigation of Meta’s policies.   In June, Meta paused AI training plans in the EU after complaints, but UK impact remains unclear.   Lord Clement Jones, CBE, supporting the letter, said:   “Meta’s proposed privacy policy changes will have a very chilling impact on all users, but particularly on creators and performers who use social media platforms to bring audiences to their work. Can artists sell their copyright? Copyright can be ‘assigned’ or licensed. Assigning your copyright means selling it or giving it away; whereas licensing your copyright, means you simply grant permission for someone (the licensee) to use your artwork in a specific way for a specific purpose.
