Recorded to two inch tape at Middle Farm Studios by Peter Miles, this performance is one continuous take and lucky for us it was caught on camera by the brilliant @toricaldeira . We added some minimal overdubs (Sax) after the fact.
The video is a collaboration in that we took the original audio/video and chewed it up. Additional AI swine brutality from @thewillygeee (vocals/sax) was peppered within the barrage of psychedelic, nauseating visuals by @mark_roberts_producer (drums) in the edit.

This hits really fucking hard. I don’t think there’s been a bigger influence for me and what I do and have done than Steve.
Whenever waxing on about this dude to anyone, I’d always bleat about how going to Electrical and working with him was a dream, a pilgrimage almost. Naively I still believed it might happen one day. Though saying this to people for 25 or so years makes one realise how fleeting everything is and how we shouldn’t take anything for granted.
One thing I will never take for granted is just how fucking uncompromising, real, brave and unique the man was. Music would not be the same without him and honestly nor would my life. I didn’t fan boy in the sense that there’s plenty he and I would have not agreed upon, but that in itself sums up what I admired so much, we all have our own take but not all the conviction and courage to follow though. It’s not about how sick the In Utero drum sound was.
So for what a shitty social media post is worth, thanks Steve, for everything! I hope you’re making some serious noise and slaying at poker somewhere in the either. All the love to his friends and family X
Debut single from the incredible @vowerband ! Rising from the ashes of @blackpeaks and @officialtoska , both sick bands I’ve loved working with in the past and who are, more importantly amazing people and friends. I was pumped to work on this project and it didn’t disappoint!
@jshmckwn of the also incredible @palmreadergram just takes it to the next level vocally! 🤌
Tracked down at the lovely @middlefarmstudios late last year, then mixed back in my loft with help from @rabeaafro these tunes took on a real life of their own. Drawing on and melding influence from previous projects but forging a brand new, glued band. Was also super sick to work with @rory_d_mclean , not in camera man mode, smashed it pal!
The finishing touch was some amazing mastering from legend @machinetheproducer 🤌

Congratulation to @polarsonofficial on the release of their debut album 🙌
This record was so much fun to record, great musicians and expertly co produced by the ever talented @chris_hardwick_music super proud to have been involved.
Fist session was at @middlefarmstudios . Drums went down to tape then quickly into overdub world, taking some time to experiment and get sounds right at the source.
Then we were on to @echozoostudios for vocals and final bits and bobs. Also an amazing space with all the toys on hand.

Had such a blast tracking this with @peterproducer at the helm whilst I was just “the drummer”. Been such a long time. I still couldn’t resist mixing it and having some noisy input. But a real fast and fun session.
