In the era of seamless implementation of digital landscapes in our daily lives we wonder:
What is the role of immersive media in this discourse? In specific: how could composed and performed spatial soundscapes contribute to cultivation of our perception and communication capacities?
6 international lab residents seek answers to these questions through diverse prisms, ranging between the fields of sonic arts, acoustic ecology & electroacoustic composition. 🔎

🔊During second week of 𝙎𝙋𝘼𝙏𝙄𝘼𝙇 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙗 symposium focused on 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, we will be gladly welcoming active researcher in the field of 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 - Enrique Tomás. 🔊
🔌 In his lecture Enriqe will 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙣 the specifities of 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 for spatial audio 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 and 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚. He will be also comparing 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 with a number of standard and custom musical controllers.
🔬The lecturer, 𝙀𝙣𝙧𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙖́𝙨, is a sound artist, 𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧 & 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧 of 𝙊𝙏𝙏𝙊𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨 project and 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 devoted to finding new 𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 & play with 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮. Enrique´s work explores the intersection between sound art, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘, 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 and 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣-𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. He teaches at the 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙇𝙖𝙗 of the University of Art and Design of Linz, and his research has been presented at 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 peer-reviewed 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 like NIME, ICMC, SMC, TEI and TENOR. 💫

Second edition of ambisonics summer lab probes into the ways of how composed and performed spatial soundscapes can enhance our perception and communication abilities.
Symposium is 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘. Come and explore workshops, hands-on sessions and 𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨, researchers & musicians active in the spatial audio composition, software development, audio performance and phenomenology field.
Participation is free of charge, although registration is required for some.
