The Cotswolds.
I was determined to see the Cotswolds without a car, and do a hike, so I looked at a map and figured we could take a train to Moreton-in-Marsh, a bus to Stow-on-the-Wold, and then hike from there to Lower Slaughter (hilariously gruesome name for a cute village) and then on to Bourton-on-the-Water. So many hyphens, and sheep.
We got 96% here, which wasn’t half as dramatic as shots from folks with totality, but it still made everything look like a day for night scene from an old movie, along with strange, multi-edged shadows, and dancing ripples of light and dark across the sand. Plus the sci-fi film views of the sun itself. #eclipse
