With our special guest, @talii.16 , a dedicated language enthusiast and humanitarian, currently serving as a Spanish interpreter/translator for the government of Trinidad and Tobago.
She has also contributed to various humanitarian efforts with the Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation, including and not limited to mentoring and teaching basic English to Venezuelan migrant children.
Talia co-authored "Juanita," a bilingual children's book celebrating the ethnodiversity of her homeland.

An amalgamation of disparate beliefs and a panoply of cultures, colors, peoples and celebrations, Trinidad and Tobago has single-handedly and uniquely ensconced itself as the melting pot of the Caribbean, and I am proud to be a Trinbagonian.
Red: the fire element. The color MOST expressive of our country; the vitality of the land and its peoples; the warmth and energy of the sun, the courage and friendliness of the people.
White: the sea by which these lands are bound; the cradle of our nation’s heritage; the purity of aspirations and the equality of all men (annex: and women) under the sun.
Black: the dedication of the people joined together by one strong bond. It is the colour of strength, of unity of purpose and of the wealth of the land.
This costume was loaned to me by the titillating, contemporary Mas band: Weemas that was founded in 2015 and since then has assiduously positioned itself as the go to band for anyone who wants big-band benefits in a medium-sized band.
The song accompanying the video is, “Kerwin Du Bois - Bacchanalist” and with a cursory listen it may seem like a simple anthem but to the perspicacious listener buried in the art piece is a deeper message. This song celebrates the explosive and unfettered spirit of our nation’s people, it commemorates the courage of our citizens, the warmth suffusing from every one of us, this song celebrates RED.
As time progresses, our red roots buries itself deep in the world and our flowers bloom positioning our twin island republic as the home of happiness, celebration, prosperity, oneness and creativity. From one patriot to another, let this video, inspire you to believe once again and more firmly in Trinidad and Tobago, believe that we have done and will continue to do it notably and as your next Miss Universe, I will do it with Trinbagonian mien and eloquence.
